  • A few weeks ago I was in Walmart--one off Hwy 441--in Gainesville. I saw a woman dressed as a Muslim lady. She had one child in her cart and was talking to a man I believe to be her husband. He had two children in his cart. I was overwhelmed with a desire to apologize to them for the insane actions and words of Trump and his administration. I interrupted their conversation to give them a heartfelt apology and to tell them they were welcome here and we needed their talents. Then I scooted away---I use a scooter in Walmart due to difficulty walking Walmart. The lady had a hearing difficulty so the husband was explaining what I said as I left. A few minutes later I heard the later coming up behind me calling out to me. I turned around and this lovely lady was all smiles as she hugged me and said "Thank you." I am so sorry I did not get her name. I would like to be able to communicate with them . If that couple reads this or if anyone knows them (I know I am asking for a miracle, but I believe in miracles) please respond to this note with how I can get in touch with you. Again, my apology, however insufficient it is, to the Muslims who have been subjected to the rantings and actions of Trump and his followers.
